Louisiana Nights
About the concert
A return to the "Renaissance" of jazz, to the blues, to the old songs, to the moods of old New Orleans, with the wonderful singer Ginea Adi Wolf.
Timeless songs such as: ‘House of The Rising Sun’, ‘On the Sunny Side of the Street’, ‘Route 66’, and other such wonderful tunes, will take us back to the early years of jazz, to the melting pot of rhythm, musical instruments and the integration of cultures between East and West that took place in and around Louisiana.
The singer, songwriter, actress, (and painter), Ginea Adi Wolf, originally from Bermuda, and who moved to London and later to Germany, is "The voice to be heard" as the magazine "L'Afritude" wrote.
She controls all the various nuances: between that of a silky soft voice and the eruption of a volcano. The music flows from her completely naturally and is both deep and emotional to the point of being wonderfully cheerful and relaxing. She has participated in a large number of leading roles in films and musicals, such as the lead role of Billie Holiday in The Billie Holiday Story, in Jesus Christ Superstar, and brings to the stage her wide-ranging artistic experience, her unique voice and impressive performances of soul, blues, rock and swing. In 2012 she sang at the opening ceremony of the London Olympics in Trafalgar Square.
