About the concert

Soul, funk and gospel are all styles of singing from the soul, but not only, as they interrelate and sometimes intermingle. They all stem from the music that began in the Black Churches of the early twentieth century. They are saturated with rhythm and groove that moves you in constant motion. The voice of the singer Ginea Adi Wolf comes from the soul and she expresses every nuance with immense emotional depth. She is a true soul singer in the spirit of Aretha Franklin and Ray Charles. Among the songs that she will perform: ‘Work Song’, ‘Hit the Road Jack’, ‘Black Mary’ and more.

The singer, songwriter, actress and painter, Ginea Adi Wolf, originally from Bermuda, moved to London and later to Germany.  She is "The voice to be heard" as was written by the magazine "L'Afritude". She has participated in a large number of leading roles in films and musicals, such as the lead role of Billie Holiday in The Billie Holiday Story or Jesus Christ Superstar. In 2012 she sang at the opening ceremony of the London Olympics in Trafalgar Square.
